Fritz Otto Stanke, 89, of Whitehouse, Tex., died May 27, 2020 in Tyler, Tex. He was born July 6, 1930 in Pampa, Texas to Fritz H. and Opal Land Stanke.
Fritz grew up in Dewar, Oklahoma and worked for PPG for 22 years. He was a four-year Veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving 13 months in Korea. He moved to Whitehouse in the early 1980s and because of his love of fishing in 1991 he purchased the "Fishing Barge" on Lake Tyler as a retirement hobby. He sold the business in 2010 to officially retire. Fritz was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and remained an active member until his health declined.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Ruth Stanke in 2008.
He is survived by his daughter, Renee McElroy of Whitehouse; brothers, Donald Stanke of Salina, Okla., and Claude Stanke of Schulter; sisters, Virginia Osburn of Blackwater, Virginia and Priscilla McGuire of Tonitown, Arkansas; grandson, Tim Scullawl of Whitehouse and great-granddaughter, Heather Scullawl of Tyler.
funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home Chapel in Tyler, Tex., with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Viewing will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery in Tyler.
Betty Fritz Whiting, a former Henryetta resident, died May 27, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79. Funeral services are pending with Vondel L. Smith Mortuary in Oklahoma City.
Wanda Jean Chapo, a resident of Tecumseh, died May 27, 2020 in Shawnee at the age of 70. She was born June 7, 1949 in Henryetta to Eugene Dunson and Juanita (Field) Dunson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Dunson, Juanita (Field) Dunson, grandmother, Louisa Watson Field, grandmother, Susan Walker Dunson and one brother, Daryl Dunson.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Chapo of Tecumseh; daughter, Lisa Watson and husband Brent, son, Brad Lowe and wife Jeanelle of Shawnee; stepson, Thomas Chapo Jr. of Oklahoma City; and stepson, Chris Chapo of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren: Randall Watson and wife Chaney of Shawnee, Troy Lowe of Las Vegas, NV, Janelle Watson of Shawnee, Wesley Lowe of Shawnee, and Winonah Hamblin of Shawnee,, and Tianna Sykes; two great-grandchildren: Adriana Watson and Harley Hope Sykes; and four siblings, David Dunson of Wetumka, Marty Dunson of Henryetta, Susan Bear of Oklahoma City, and Linda Irene of NM, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Thlopthlocco Indian Methodist Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
Barbara Ann Conatser of Henryetta died May 26, 2020 at the age of 81. She was born May 15, 1939 in Englewood, Calif., to Dee Lewis Hale and Mary (Cantrell) Hale. Barbara graduated from Henryetta High School and married Charles Conatser on February 5, 1962.
Barbara lived in San Diego, CA for many years and worked for Seaside Buick Dealership for 16 years. After returning to Henryetta in 1982 she worked for Progressive Chevrolet and retired from Jimmy Ruth Motors. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clairemont, San Diego.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles
She is survived by a daughter: DeAnne Kindell and husband Randy of Schulter; grandson: Michael Charles Kindell of Pleasant Valley; granddaughter: Kelly Ann Kindell of Pleasant Valley; great granddaughter: Kindell Ann Weigand of Pleasant Valley
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
Amojean Black, a former Henryetta resident, died May 26, 2020.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ruby Thompson, sister Verna McCurty, brother Lloyd Wayne Thompson and her son Robert Black
She is survived by her daughter Dana and son-in-law Jeffrey Hirsch, daughters Shelly Dent, Diamond Black and Danielle Black, Nephew Mark McCain, grandchildren Robert “Trey” Black III, Jayden, Sopherra, Rayna, Hannah and husband Ian Fullington, Adam Hirsch and Shelby Fox.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2020 at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
