Charlene Steckelberg, a former longtime resident of Henryetta, died Oct. 3 in her home in Parker, Colorado.  
Charlene was born in Osage County, Okla., April 21, 1914.  She and her husband Fred, who predeceased her in 1974, operated several businesses, including a local coal mine, in Henryetta before going to work for the State of Oklahoma, where she retired in 1979.  In 2014, she moved to California to live with her daughter, DAnna Lawson and son-in-law Tom Lawson, before they moved to Colorado in 2004.  In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her granddaughter, Kristen Ferguson of Denver.
A lifelong active member of the First Christian Church, there will be a memorial service for Charlene at the church in Henryetta Saturday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m.
