semi crash
The westbound lanes of Interstate 40 were shut down for around an hour Saturday night following a semi crash east of Henryetta.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the semi was going west when it went off the road and overturned into the center median around 7:30 p.m.. The truck was carrying rolls of carpet.
A helicopter was called in and landed on the highway to take the semi driver to a Tulsa hospital. His name has not been released pending notification of family members.
Wrecker crews and workers from Sooner Surplus Sales were busy throughout the day Sunday removing the load of carpet rolls.
