house fireTwo Henryetta families were displaced Monday night after a fire in the 200 block of East Broadway.
According to Henryetta fire chief David Bullard, the blaze started in a storage building behind one of the houses then spread to another storage building in the neighboring yard.
The flames ignited the rear of one house causing extensive damage to that building. "The flames went up into the eaves of the house then did some damage in the attic," said fire chief David Bullard.
He went on to say a large amount of brush and debris in the back of one house helped fuel the fire. Electrical service lines had fallen into the back yard creating a dangerous issue for firemen for a short period.
