"Xalt" Worship will start Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Henryetta Church of the Nazarene."Xalt will be a contemporary-style worship created to more effectively reach a segment of people in Henryetta and surrounding communities," said pastor Mike Meeks. He explained it will be a family worship representing all age groups who desire this type and form of worship.
Jeff Williamson, church youth director and others will share the preaching responsibilities. "Our teen band and other singer/musicians in the area will provide the music."
He said it is hoped the new worship service will attract many not currently attending the Sunday morning services.
The Sunday morning Sunday School hour will remain the same. An expanded Sunday School and or new small groups may be developed later closer to the Xalt worship timeframe.
