chelsea cookYessir, I know I am the only one who has noticed this so I feel it is my duty to inform the world as I would hate to be the cause of the collapse of civilization as we know it. Now if this gets too graphic for you, you are allowed to read this with your eyes closed. I am going to write as fast as I can so if you notice mistakes just ignore them and nevermind about pointing out those mistakes to me. Are you sitting? Maybe you should put your feet up, pour another glass of wine and take 20 deep breaths before you begin.   20?, you ask. A recent study shows that by taking 20 deep breaths before going to bed it will help you get to sleep quicker and stay longer. Deep breathing is healthy. OK? Here goes.
Starbucks started using a red cup to dispense their coffee. Can you believe it? A company not only has a red cup but brazenly puts their company logo on that cup. It is astonishing. I am certainly glad that the fellow who started this campaign against Starbucks is true blue hearted and only trying to do the best for all us who are not gifted intellectually enough to get raving mad at the color of a coffee cup. Next thing you know Wal-Mart will not change their logo to suit this man’s December tastes and then we will be in really big trouble. Think about it! If companies which are privately owned go around acting as if they had the right to do what they think is in the best interest of their company, we could have chaos. If Starbucks gets by with using a seasonal color on their company products without asking this “whistle-blower” for advice and permission, probably every other private company in the USA would think they had that right also. Thank goodness for this intrepid ambassador for all things totally politically correct.
Can you imagine the thousands of people just slurping down their morning Joe and not knowing they have offended the entire holiday season? (Am I allowed to say “holiday?”) Actually, the cup, I have been told, is for pumpkin spice latte or some strange French drink that we people down here don’t need anyway. Just give me some straight coffee, hot, very black as I have destroyed my taste buds, and lots of it. That’s the way it should be. We don’t need some frilly strange drink in a colored cup of which we do not approve. Coffee cups are to be a)mugs or b) white styrofoam and that’s enough. If some company has the gall to try to change that then we need to look up the information on the man who brought this all to our attention so we can get the straight story of it.
But it worries me that if Starbucks gets by with this breech of protocol without even asking permission, then they may go to the next level and put their company sign out where people can see it. That would be against our American way and is just a way for them to showoff. Do you know any other major company who does such a thing? O K, maybe one or two others but they sell products that are not on our politically correct ambassador’s list to be an irritant to his psyche. We need crusaders such as this one or we would never know we should be offended by a red coffee cup.  There are probably many things we do not know we should be offended by but we do not have the sensibilities to recognize that some of them, which we think is the company’s business, is done on purpose to offend nature, the environment and the atmosphere. We have to be careful.
I shall post a link for you, at the bottom of this page, for you to check out this crusader of everything politically correct. That is, “IF” you wish to see his alleged resume. And, the good news is, for only $50 a month you can join and be his “partner” so you can send him more money. I believe he also has items for sale like $900 watches. At the moment, I cannot get one of those but I seldom worry about what time it is. Thanks to his fund raising among his loyal followers, it is reported, but we have no hard evidence, just comments on his page, he was able to raise $30,000 for a $20,000 camera which he, apparently, never purchased. I am sure there is an excellent reason for this. There are always critics who say that when one promises things, and other people pay for that promise, one should follow through. Maybe he is saving that money to start another campaign against another USA company.
