Robert “Bob” Keesee, a resident of Henryetta, died Nov. 30, 2015 in Henryetta at the age of 79. He was born Oct. 24, 1936 in Corpus Christie, TX to Peter Martin and Mary (Holtzclaw) Keesee. Bob is well known in the Henryetta area as a barber. He worked earlier at PPG and then taught school in Wetumka and retired from Schulter Public Schools. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the 1st Priority Club in Okmulgee.
He married Wanda Rose March 31, 1961 in Dallas, Tex. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife Wanda of the home; daughters: Karen Ruth of Henryetta and Lisa Derryberry and husband of Hydro; grandchildren: Krystle Kelley and husband David, Arron Ruth and wife Carrie, Shayna Ruth, Wilder Ruth and their father Barry Ruth. Kacy Rice and husband Jacob, Rhett and Jace Derryberry; great grandchildren: Alyssa and Aubrey Kelley, Roman Ruth, Ellie and Sadie Rice; two brothers: Jerald Keesee and Buck Keesee; two sisters: Evelo Hood and DeeDe Catlett
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Church of Christ (5th and Broadway). Interment will follow at the New Senora Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
