Human remains found by the District 25 Violent Crime Task Force and Okmulgee police department have been sent to the state Medical Examiner.
pascaleThe remains were discovered in two separate rural locations while an investigation into the disappearance of Okmulgee resident Joshua Pascale was underway. Those remains were found outside Okmulgee County and were said to have been burned.
He was last seen Nov. 21 getting into car on the west side of Okmulgee. The next day a missing person report was filed.
The Task Force joined in the investigation at the request of the Okmulgee police.
Currently, the Task Force is investigating the cause of death as a homicide. Investigators are not speculating as to the identity of the remains.
Earlier this month, members of the District 25 Task Force arrested several people in Dewar on charges of kidnapping. They have also been looking into the murder of a Beggs woman.
