Henryetta police were out in force Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning and a bunch of holiday partiers got to meet them in person.
Nearly a dozen arrests were made during the night, all of them people partaking of a little too much holiday cheer.
Police say seven arrests for public intoxication were made before midnight with more getting to wake up Jan. 1 in the city jail.
Chief Steve Norman said the increased police presence was to ensure a safe New Year holiday and that apparently paid off with no accidents being reported.
