Danyiel Green was honored this month for 25 years of service at American Exchange Bank. She began working at AEB right out of high school in 1987 as a part-time teller in the drive-in through a school-to-work program called Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. Since then she has worked in the loan department, new accounts department, and data processing department. Recently, Green was promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Danyiel Green“Danyiel has been a great asset to AEB,” said Joy Wittman, Executive Vice President. “She is a pleasure for our customers and employees to work with. Anytime you need a problem solved, Danyiel’s your gal!”
Green said AEB has provided her the opportunity to work in the small town community in which she lives.
“My favorite thing about AEB is that we are a community bank and locally owned,” Green said. “We know our customers and can provide personal service.”
She said AEB has been blessed with amazing customers with strong relationship ties to the employees. “It’s a privilege to get to work with the best customers,” she said. “We consider them friends and family.”
One of the things she values is the fact that the bank is a family-oriented work place and she said she’s thankful she doesn’t have to commute to work. “I’ve basically raised my son here at the bank,” she said.
Green said AEB believes that in the banking industry, you’re never through with education. She has attended numerous banking schools, conferences and seminars.
“I’m blessed to say that I work with a great group of coworkers,” she said. “Not everyone can say that.”
She said she hopes to continue her banking career at AEB into retirement and she’s looking forward to new challenges that are coming her way.
