Deedie May Johnson, a resident of Henryetta, died Jan. 26, 206 in Tulsa at the age of 83.  She was born Sept. 19, 1932 in Rochester, Minnesota to Maurice “Claude” and Ida Mae (Manning) Vaughn.
he married Donald Johnson April 8, 1950, raised a wonderful family and served in the Immanuel Baptist Church along with her husband in many ways. She taught Sunday School for the children, served in the WMU-GA, the Quilting Club and church cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald a daughter Donna Johnson-Lamar, sister; Alice Claudette Cottrell and Brother and sister in law; Richard and Tressie Vaughn.
Survivors include her children: Deborah and David Morrow of Sand Springs, Denise and David Eldridge of Bixby, Dianne and Todd Groff of Henryetta and Darin and Amie Johnson of Henryetta; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a sister: Sharon Rose Sivilis of Oklahoma City; uncle: Harold Vaughn  of Oklahoma City and many nieces and nephews and special friends.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with David Morrow and Brayden Buss officiating.  Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
