Anna Marie Arnold, a former resident of Henryetta, died Jan. 26, 2016 in Bismark, North Dakota at the age of 89.
Anna was born July 17, 1926, in Gross-Ullersdorf, Czechoslovakia, to Michael Paseke and Anna Appelova. She emigrated to Germany in 1945 with her sister Franzika and aunt Sophie. She met and married the love of her life, Donald Wayne Arnold, on August 16, 1956, in Goeppingen, West Germany. They lived on numerous bases in West Germany and the United States during Don’s military career. They lived in California for a few years after Don’s retirement from the army and then moved to his hometown of Henryetta. Don passed away in 2005 and Anna remained in Henryetta until 2012, when she moved to Bismarck to be near her niece and her family.
Anna is survived by her only niece, Brigitte J. (Ronald) Warner, Bismarck; her great-niece, Daniela S. Warner; her great-nephew, Thomas F. (Candace) Warner, Sr., and their children, Kayla M. (Edward) Kaizer, Kristine V. (Joseph Sr.) Zenker and her children, Joseph Jr., and Payden; Thomas F. (Brittany Rath, fiancé), Warner Jr., all of Bismarck; great-nephew, Christopher S. (Kari Ann) Warner and their children, Sophia and Saige, Mandan, ND; sister-in-law, Mary Patty, Missouri, her children, Darrin and Danny Patty; sister-in-law, Patty (Jerry) Brison, Henryetta, and her daughter, Sandra Yoppini; and brother-in-law, Bill Arnold, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Franzika Metzger; and her aunt, Sophie Appel.
Interment will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feburary 4, 2016 under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
