Jeremy Roberts, the new Henryetta chamber of commerce president, says his focus this year is get more people involved in the chamber and community.
"Henryetta is a great place to live and work. We have a lot to offer and it will take everyone pulling together to make it a place for all ages to enjoy living and working," he said.
jeremy and familyRoberts and his wife Guyla have been married for 13 years and have three children, Jonah, Gabby, and Josh they attend Henryetta Public Schools.
He began his career with Edward Jones in 2005 and the following year, he and his wife moved to Henryetta. He and his wife serve Children's Pastors at Crosstown Church in Okmulgee where they have attended for 14 years.
A Morris native, he grew up on a farm raising and showing cattle he was also very active in 4H and FFA. He graduated from Morris High School in 1998. While a Junior in high school Jeremy joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard serving six years with the 120th Combat Engineers Company "C" out of Henryetta.
He attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002. While in college he was active with the Kappa Sigma Fraternity as well as working at KEOK 101.7 radio station. He then worked at Thunderbird Youth Academy in Pryor where he was a drill instructor working with At-Risk Youth, and was later promoted to Supervisor. Guyla was then accepted to the RN program at OSUIT
During this time Jeremy and Guyla moved to Okmulgee from Tulsa and he began working with the Office of Juvenile Affairs as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Jeremy began his career with Edward Jones and later moved to Henryetta.
Jeremy received his Master in Business Administration in Finance from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2014 graduating with Honors. Jeremy is very active in the community serving on multiple boards including the Henryetta Education Foundation, the Henryetta Rotary Club, Beautification Chair on the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce and serving as President this year. He also serves on the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department Board and is a member of the Tulledega Masonic Lodge Number 201, he is a 32nd Degree Mason a member of the McAlester Scottish Rite, and is also a member of the Bedouin Shrine in Muskogee. He can also be heard announcing the Henryetta High School football and basketball games.
He and his wife enjoy spending time with their family, attending and helping at our church, attending  athletic events, and traveling.
