There was a time when just about every corner along Henryetta's business district had a trash can.
Some of those waste disposal units have been documented in photos from the designer.
Lelanie Faye Fuller Anderson's grandfather, Heinie Johnson, was the owner of the Active Ad Sign Co., from 1940 into the 1960s.
He developed the idea to sell advertising for those trash cans which helps document the retail history of the town.
Ms. Anderson now lives in Salina, Okla., and gathered up the photos to send to the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce.
"Our chamber appreciates Ms. Anderson's contribution and thoughtfulness," said chamber executive director Roy Madden.
