Henryetta city manager Ted Graham was suspended from his position for 30 days. That was the unanimous decision by the council Friday night at a special meeting.
The announcement was made following a nearly two-hour-long executive session. It followed a similar closed session Tuesday night.
Councilman Shannon Scott made the motion reading from a prepared statement.
"I make a motion to suspend the city manager for 30 days, Feb. 22 through March 22; two weeks paid by the city and the remainder to be used as vacation time. He is not to have any contact with city employees or any city jobs unless it were an exclusive meeting," Scott.
The reason given for the suspension was missing a grant deadline, incomplete jobs voted on by council, public relations complains and lack of monitoring city finances.
Council members had held an executive session Tuesday night to discuss Graham.
"Contrary to belief Tuesday night at our regular city council meeting, no action can occur during the executive session, so no action was taken," said mayor Jennifer Clason prior to Scott's motion.
Graham, along with city attorney Lou Ann Moudy were called to be a part of the Friday night session. They returned to the council chambers about 30 minutes prior to the council reconvening in open session. Neither commented on what was said.
