It was definitely a “Night To Shine” as over 300 special needs teens from across the Tulsa Metro gathered at the Glenpool Conference Center to celebrate a prom in Broken Arrow recently. The event was hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation and The Assembly Church located in Broken Arrow.
nightHenryetta’s own Wanda Hemphill, a resident at Lake Drive Care Center, was able to attend the event for this incredible night.
“I had a lot of fun” stated Wanda.  “This was an event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation for individuals 16 and up that have disabilities. It was an awesome event and I’m so glad Wanda had the opportunity to attend” said Denise Hemphill, Wanda’s mother.
All participants received prom dresses or suits along with hair services, corsages, and boutonnieres at no cost.  Everyone was given the red carpet treatment including paparazzi style pictures and fans cheering them along their way down the aisle into the venue.
