Bridge work on a span on I-40 totaling nearly $800,000 has been approved for construction.
The bridge crosses SH 150 about six miles west of Checotah according to Sen. Roger Thompson.
C3 Construction of Ada will be doing the work which is expected to take some five months.
Another highway project was also announced this week.
That will be resurfacing some 16.5 miles of SH 9 seven miles east of the Hughes County line.
It is expected to cost nearly $3 million with Glover and Associates Inc. in Muskogee doing the work.
