Henryetta will be well represented in the state powerlifting championships this coming weekend.
power liftingSeniors Rhett Williams and Raymond Harrington placed second and third in their weight class at the regional meet last weekend guaranteeing them a place at state.
Also qualifying for the state meet were Walker Kinslow, Kyle Tarkington, Steven Slade and Blake Vanmeter.
Williams finished second in the 275 pound class and lifted a total of 1,710 pounds. He had 450 in squat, 285 bench and 475 deadlift.
Harrington, who was in the 198 pound class, amassed 1,170 pounds overall for third place. He tallied 420 squat, 250 bench and 500 deadlift.
Walker was also a 275 pounder competitor. He had 355 squat, 225 bench and 425 deadliest.
Tarkington placed seventh in the 198 pound contest with a 325 squat, 260 bench and 415 deadlift.
In the 181 pound class, Slade put together a 350 pound squat, 260 bench and 420 deadlift for eighth place.
Also qualifying in that class was VanMeter with a 380 squat, 195 bench and 380 deadlift.
The state meet will be at Norman north high school starting at 9 Saturday morning.
