One person can make a difference and nearly 1,000 Henryetta area residents turned out Saturday to help make a differnce in the fight against cancer.
The 2016 Henreytta Relay for Life featured food, fun, games and fellowship as teams organized to raise money to cure the disease.
The annual event ws held at the footbal field highlighted by the Survivors' Lap featuring men and women, young and old, who have battled against cancer.
The highlight of the evening was the luminaria ceremony with over 500 lighted sacks circling the football field, many decorated with photos and personal rememberances of family and friends who were lost over the years.
Relay started in Washington in 1985 and has since grown to encompass all 50 states.
