The Henryetta girls claimed third place in the regional track meet Saturday at Okemah.
While the Lady Knights had to settle for third, the HHS boys wound up number 11 in a 17-member ranking.
IMG 7551Henryetta senior Daisy VanMeter brought home a trio of individual first place medals. She claimed top honors in the 800 meter, 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs. That solidified her trip to the state meet next weekend at Catoosa.
VanMeter was on the HHS relay team with Mya Powders, Holly Stuart and Kaitlyn Clark that finished first in the 3200 meter relay.
Brittany Elam captured first in the girls pole vault with an eight and one half foot vault. That was an even 12 inches ahead of second place.
HHS sophomore Skyla Notley finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 28 feet eight inches. She was eighth in the discus.
The girls 400 meter relay saw the Lady Knights wind up in ninth and eighth in the 800 meter relay and sixth in the 1600.
In the boys relay events, the HHS team of Nick Pak, Dalton Key, Logan Pepper and Kobe Johnson came in fifth in the 3200 relay and tenth in 400 relay while the team of Avery Moore, Pepper Logan, Jordan Proctor and Dalton Key finished tenth in the 800 relay.
The HHS boys also claimed fifth in the 1600 meter relay.
