Frank Raymond Sewell, Muskogee resident and former Henryettan, died April 24, 2016 in Muskogee at the age of 49.
The son of Dr. Raymond D. and Nellie June (Watson) Sewell, he attended Henryetta and Muskogee Public Schools. After graduating from Muskogee high school in 1984, he attended Northeastern State University then the University of Oklahoma. He received his law degree and spent more than 20 years as a clerk for two Supreme Court Justices.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wrothel D. and Ida (Sims) Sewell, of Davis, OK, and his maternal grandparents, Joseph Robert and Beryl (Crafts) Watson, of Henryetta.
Survivors include his parents of Muskogee; three children: Kayla, Julie and Lance, of Edmond; sisters: Sheila Sewell, of Oklahoma City, and Lana and her husband Donald Reed of Muskogee: nieces: Rachael and her husband Will Gilliam of Muskogee, Lauren Ritchie, of Muskogee, and Alix Golden, of New York City, NY; nephew, Aaron and his wife Krissy Ritchie, of Searcy, Ark.; great nephew and niece, Jack and Olivia Gilliam, of Muskogee; the mother of his children, Melanie Sewell of Edmond; cousins, Dr. Everett and Corva Murphy, of Kansas City Kans., Terry Hold and Denny and Becky Hold, of Henryetta, special friends, Becky and Chip Webster, Kathy and Mark Steele, and Lou Ann and Donnie Smith, and many other extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held April 28, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Shannon Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Guy Mayberry, Darrin Walters, Steve Highfill, Jeff Potts, Kenneth Thompson, and Chip Reid serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David McKee and Michael Krywucki.
