DA releases names of arrests in drug sweepThere were 13 people booked into the Okmulgee County jail as a result of the sweep by city, county and state lawmen Thursday.
"Operation Okmulgee Vice," as the day-long series of raids in Henryetta, Okmulgee and various other parts of Okmulgee County was called, was designed to have a serious impact on local drug trafficking.
Arrested in Okmulgee County were: Marie Doughty, Ronald Lee Chandler, Charles Fisher, Christopher Fuentz, Curtis Allen Geer, Jr., Dick Gregory Jones, Heather Kell-Young, Mercedes Hurst, Desmond Nash, Carlton Pierce, Michelle Reyes, Allen J. Wright and Brandi Yahola.
Donald Johnson, Sr. was arrested in Texas as part of the same operation.
There were also warrants issued for four people who were already in the county jail. They included: Donald Ray Johnson, Jr., Garry McCall, David L. Stone and Jared Trotter.
All are facing various drug-related charges including drug trafficking, illegal drug deliveries as well as conspiracy to commit the crimes and unlawful use of telephones, said District Attorney Rob Barris.
More arrests are predicted in the coming days. Officers still have a number of unserved warrants and are looking for those individuals.
"The charges filed detail a network of persons engaged in activate and ongoing importation of 'ice,' a methamptheamine manufactured outside the United States," he added.
The operation marked the first time that wiretaps were used to provide information leading to the arrests.
