sunday fire

Fire truck sirens shattered the early Sunday morning calm as fremen raced to a house fire at Ninth and Ragan. The blaze was confined to the rear of the unoccupied dwelling and was quickly extinguished. Two people were living in a smaller building to the rear of the house but were not injured in the fire. According to fire chief David Bullard, the fire is believed to have started in a bathroom where paint and paint thinner were located. He said it is possible a hot water tank ignited the fumes.
