Tornado, a world-class bucking bull and Terry Don West, a four-time works champion bull rider have been designated as Henryetta legends.

With about 75 people present, Henryetta mayor Jennifer Clason read off a pair of proclamations honoring the two.
The induction ceremony was held May 13 in Fort Worth, Tex., ironically the same day as Tornado's owner Jim Shoulders' birthday.
In that proclamation, Clason pointed out Tornado had bucked off 220 cowboys and named the "meanest bull alive," before being ridden by world champion Freckles Brown at the National Finals Rodeo.
"Jim knew the bull was going to be ridden at some point but he wanted it to be by somebody important," said Sharon Shoulders. "What better place than the NFR and by Freckles Brown, a rodeo icon?"
She and Marvin Shoulders received the proclamation in Tornado's stead.
West was called, "a bull riding legend" and recognized for the establishment of his bull riding school that has, "brought international interest in Henryetta."west clason
"I started at a young age on a dare," the 50-year-old West told the crowd. I wanted to be a bareback rider but somebody dared me to ride and once I got on that calf, I thought, I love this."
He gained fame when he rode Bodacious not just once, but twice, and said there were several mean bulls that he got to ride during his career.
"I got to travel and met lots of fans," he said. "It was a great time on tour and you can make a lot of money at it."
"We are proud to recognize these two," said chamber executive director Roy Madden. "They are both rodeo icons and it is important to recognize the value they bring to our community."
