For over 2,000 veterans at Westlawn Cemetery the guns are silent, the war is over.
Henryettans will be honoring them this weekend at the annual Memorial Day service.
Saturday morning, volunteers and members of the Henryetta Boy and Cub scouts fanned out across the cemetery placing flags on the graves of those servicemen and women.
While many markers recognize the veterans who fought in wars during the 20th century, there are a number of headstones for those who took up arms in the Civil War as well as the Spanish American war.
Within the space of a few feet former adversaries who fought for the Union and the Confederate States lie today in peace.
