The current Henryetta school teaching and support staff will be reporting back to work when classes start in August.

In addition to the existing staff, board members hired six new teachers as well as new office staff members.
Added to the teaching staff will be Paulette Harrison, high school English, Shannon Brown, special education, Sharla Wilkes, high school science, Patricia Rempe, middle school math, Rodrigo Barcenas, high school math and high school head fast pitch softball, Brandon Elizarraras, high school head baseball and special education paraprofessional and Cody Prator, assistant high school football coach.
Melanie Green will be the new high school secretary and Tammy Fairres will be the board of education office manager.
Several positions were left unfilled including the middle school science teacher, two elementary special education teacher spots, high school in-school detention spot and a cook's position.
After the meeting, board president James Williams said recent staff cutbacks in other schools provided a number of applicants for the Henryetta jobs.
This year the school board did not have to lay off any teachers or staff members due to school funding cuts.
