The end of the 2016 Oklahoma legislature marked the final time State Rep. Jerry Shoemake would be discussing bills on the House floor.
Term limits ended his time in office and that time was recognized Friday with a special presentation.
Senator Roger Thompson presented the longtime legislator with a special citation from both him and State rep. Steve Kouplen.
The presentation was held at the conclusion of the June 3 legislative forum.

During that forum, the three legislators discussed the just-completed session pointing out it was one of the most difficult any of them had lived through.
