Around 50 people were on hand to watch 48 American flags be retired from service Tuesday evening.
Members of the Henryetta Pack 118 observed Flag Day helped by the Henryetta American Legion and Okmulgee and Henryetta VFW members.
Worn out, faded and tattered flags were cut into thirds then burned with honor.
A special honor guard from the Okmulgee VFW Post 1189 was on hand to give a 21-gun salute followed by Taps.
