Myrtle E. Ware, a resident of Dustin, died June 16, 2016 in Dustin at the age of 98. She was born July 16, 1917 in Clayton, Okla., to Arthur and Louise (Jackson) Woods. She worked as a cook in Nursing Homes and schools. She attended the Dewar First Baptist Church. Myrtle married Elvin Ware in 1935
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elvin Ware; children: Loucretia June, Elvin Ware Jr, Betty Carol Stephens and Jerry Ware.
Survivors include her daughters: Gail Keys and husband James of Dustin, Barbra Mote and husband Tommy of Dustin, Louise Campbell of Henryetta, Mary Collins of Henryetta and Vickie Southern of Etyole, Tex.; sons: Gary Ware of Nebraska, Terry Ware and wife Brenda of Henryetta, and Wayne Ware of Lufkin, Tex.; many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren; sisters: Ellen Dowdley and Polly Wilson both of Oklahoma City
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Susie Stephens and Frank Lott, officiating. Interment will follow at the Dustin Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
