Bare earth surrounding the splash pad at McCutcheon Park is no more after city workers spent nearly two hours laying sod Tuesday morning. The additional grass is the final stage for the recreational project that has delighted several hundred youngsters during the past week.
While workers were busy there, another crew gave the 80-year-old bath house at Nichols a facelift.
Some missing and rotted beams were replaced and the sagging gable facing the lake restored.
