pump upThat’s why in July, First Family Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) is focusing on helping youth become more financially fit. For the entire month, FFFCU will be hosting events that will help local youth strengthen their money skills and pump up their savings: Ages 18 and under can enter to win $100.00 with every deposit into their savings account ($5.00 minimum). New members will be able to choose a prize of the following: FFFCU selfie-stick, jumprope or Frisbee.
Plus, see FFFCU kid’s savings club mascot “Copper the Coin Dog” and get a goody bag full of savings fitness items (while supplies last) at the following locations from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm: 1000 East 20th Street in Okmulgee on July 8th, 402 East Main Street in Henryetta on July 15th, 111 South Paul Carr Drive in Checotah on July 22nd and 1308 East Carl Albert Parkway in McAlester on July 29th.
“Youth fitness has become a national priority,” said FFFCU Marketing Director Staci Alsover. “We believe financial fitness is just as important.”
The theme of the month-long event is Credit Union Strong. Like all credit unions, FFFCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative.
“Member education and our communities are very important to us,” Alsover said. “Passing along basic money skills to the next generation so that these kids might have a brighter future — that’s what we believe it means to be credit union strong.”
