Roy Earl Peavler, a longtime resident of the Henryetta area, died Feb. 9, 2015 in Henryetta at the age of 48. Roy was born Aug. 23, 1966 in Wetumka to Earl James Peavler and Nancy Louise Crawford Peavler.
Roy grew up around the Henryetta area. After his education, Roy spent two years in service to the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Following his discharge, Roy became involved with Muay Thai, a kickboxing sport. He later worked as an instructor in Muay Thai for approximately seven years. Roy was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Roy was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, Jim Brown; and his sister Judy.
He is survived by his wife Judy Peavler of the home; two sons, John Coates of Henryetta and Terry Bush and wife Starla of Dewar; by his three grandchildren, Terry Bush Jr., Keith Allen Bush, and Khloey Coates; one brother, Buddy Brown and wife Cindy of Henryetta; two sisters, Joy Winn of Okmulgee and Nancy Crawford and husband of Midwest City; by several nieces and nephews, cousins, other extended family, and many good friends.
Viewing for Roy will take place at Integrity Funeral Service on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m..
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Integrity Funeral Service with Rev. Scott Wolfe officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
Honorary pallbearers are John Coates, Terry Bush, Buddie Brown, Richard Hall, Gary Britt, John MInyard, and Tim Putman
