A Depew couple died in a crash on US 75 Friday and, Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice and a reserve deputy involved in an accident on the same highway.
The fatality crash happened at the intersection of US 75 and 241st Street South when a 1993 Dodge driven by Alvin Cooper, 82, Depew, apparently pulled out in front of a 2015 Freightliner driven by James Shipley, 58, Henryetta.rice truck
The Dodge driver and a passenger, Elvie Cooper, 82, were killed in the crash. Shipley was uninjured.
Sheriff Rice and reserve deputy Baylen Giulioli were in Rice's pickup that was involved in a multi-vehicle crash.
According to Rice, his truck was struck by a vehicle that crossed the center median on the highway causing it to go out of control and roll down an embankment.
Both Rice and Giulioli were treated and released from the hospital.
