An Okmulgee County burglary suspect, Jeff Ray Gage, has been caught and charged with first degree burglary.
JEFF RAY GAGEGage, 46, was captured at a Miami, Okla., apartment complex late Tuesday evening. He was being sought in connection with a home burglary Sunday morning.
Originally officers thought Gage may have been shot since the homeowner fired a gun at the intruder. A short time later, a vehicle traded back to Gage was found crashed a short distance away. There was blood in the vehicle leading authorities to believe Gage had been wounded.
Several leads had been reported to the sheriff's office resulting in the hunt in the Miami area.
According to deputies, Gage surrendered without incident to the District 25 Violent Crime Task Force and Okmulgee County deputies.
Gage was returned to Okmuglee County and booked into the jail on the felony charge.
