Two Okmulgee County men are facing multiple felony charges after being arrested near Haskell Sunday.
Danny Foutch and Johnny Sadler were arrested by Okmulgee County deputies and officers from the District 25 Drug Task Force.
Foutch was said to have driven a pickup at one of the investigators when he saw the officers. He stopped short of striking an officer and was said to have been armed with a loaded .22 caliber rifle. After officers placed him into custody, he was said to have tried to escape but was recaptured after a short foot chase. He has had previous felony convictions. Sadler was placed into custody without incident.
According to deputies the Dodge pickup he was driving was said to have been stolen from Okmulgee County. That had a trailer containing a motor from a truck stolen from Bixby.
Officers say the landowner had not given Sadler or Foutch permission to be on his property. They are alleged to have been operating a "chop shop" cutting up stolen vehicles and selling the parts.
Bond for Foutch has been set at $475,000 and $50,000 for Sadler.
