It's time for young girls and boys to get their best dresses and outfits together in time for the annual Henryetta Labor Day pageant.
pageant teaserThis year the pageant will be held August 27 at the high school auditorium. Both boy and girl contestants are being sought from birth to 47 months of age for the annual baby pageant.
In the older contest, the age groups are 4 through 7 for petite miss, 8 through 11 for little miss, 12 through 15 for junior miss and 16 through 20 for Labor Day queen.
All contestants must live within a 25 mile radius of Henryetta according to pageant organizer Ruby Gooden.
The rehearsals for both groups will take place Aug. 26 starting at 6 at the high school auditorium. The baby pageant will begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 27 and the judging for the older girls set to start at 7 p.m.
Winners and runner-ups in each division will be allowed to participate in the annual labor Day parade Sept. 5.

They must be returned to Gooden by Aug. 22.
