The Henryetta First Christian church was the setting for an ice cream social honoring the HHS band members Thursday morning.
Members of the church Christian Women's Fellowship scooped out the ice cream as well as provided cookies and other desserts. The social recalled days gone by when band members played while band boosters held events as fund raisers. One of the CWF members pointed out that the band is, "always there in the heat, cold, rain and mud and deserves some recognition and rewards."
