HS Girls Team Champions
The Lady Knights ran their way to first place at the Holdenville cross country meet Saturday.
Four of the seven HHS girls placed in the top ten and that was enough to give them the first place plaque.
Mya Powders took third with teammate Bayliegh Nye on her heels for fourth with Kaitlyn Clark finishing in sixth and Holly Stuart in eighth place. Emily Smith was 23rd in the field followed by Emma Kranz finishing 37th.
The HHS boys saw Keaton Lollis place 11th followed by Jordan Knox, 12th and Nick Pack in 14th. Following them were Garrett Witt, 22nd, Isaac Matlock, 30th, Joey Watson, 31st, Dalton key, 37th, Adam Klweeno, 39, Bailey Graffman, 40th and Ryan Clark, 42nd.
First place honors in the middle school competition went to Austin Green for the HMS boys while Bailee Worlow captured first for the Henryetta girls.
Other boys finishers included Riley Floyd, fourth, Trevor King, seventh, Jordan Osterdock, 15th and Samuel Crow, 32. In the girls run, Lexi Lollis came in sixth followed by Megan Counts, 19th and Neecie Gillian, 29th.
This weekend the Knights go to Keifer. They will be in Okemah Sept. 3 then host their own cross country meet at Nichols Park Sept. 10.
