Dina Aileen (Akins) Thompson,  a resident of rural Henryetta, died Sept. 8, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 59. She was born Jan. 23, 1957 in Henryetta to Robert D. Akins and Fenicia (Evans) Akins.
Dina worked as a Radiographer for many years and was an member of Local 112 International Union of Operating Engineers, (IUOE).  She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Fenicia (Evans) Akins, and husband Fred Robert Thompson, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Amanda Weimer and wife Whitney of Henryetta, Jennifer Weaver of Henryetta, Freddie Robert Thompson III and wife Darci of Ada, Sara Thompson of Paramount, Calif., and Todd Allen Thompson of Denison, Tex.; four grandchildren: Kenadi Tyrell, Brynlee Thompson, Mannie Sanchez, and Jasmine Sanchez; father: Robert D. Akins, Sr. of Houston; brother, Robert Doyle Akins, Jr. of Henryetta; two sisters: Robbie Blades and husband James of Henryetta and Rebecca Akins of Houston; uncles, Robert L. Evans of Henryetta, David Evans and wife Jimmie Ann of Henryetta; aunt, Claudia Harris and husband Harold of Okmulgee; very special great aunt, Verlene Orum of Henryetta; nephew, Cody Blades and wife Kimmy and their son Crew of Schulter; niece Trudi Blades of Henryetta  and great niece Taylor Hodge, great nephew Hayden and Keeley Sharp of Tahlequah, and great nephew Trae Cook of Broken Arrow, as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Integrity Funeral Service.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Integrity Chapel. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
