monday arrest
One person was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a recent car burglary.
Joseph Castleberry, 25, was taken into custody by Henryetta police following a search of an apartment at Lake Drive Apartments.
Castleberry was charged with uttering a forged instrument and knowingly concealing stolen property.
“The search warrant was obtained following an investigation by detective Jeremy Wade,” said police chief Steve Norman. “He was able to get enough information linking Castleberry to the forged instrument.”
This was the second time this month that the 25-year-old Henryettan was arrested by local police. He had been charged with second degree burglary Sept. 12. He was released on $7,500 bond.
“We don’t think he has been involved in all the vehicle burglaries around town and the area,” Norman said. “If anyone has information about those burglaries, they can call the police department at 918-652-3106. Everything they say to us will remain confidential.
