A Glenpool woman died in a three-car crash Wednesday night just south of the Preston intersection.
According to the Oklahoma Highway patrol, Shelly Smith, 43, died after she was struck by a southbound vehicle on US 75.
Smith was said to have been parked on the shoulder of the highway and was trying to get a washer and dryer that had fallen from her vehicle. A second vehicle was stopped in the roadway behind the appliances. That is when a third vehicle failed to stop, striking the other vehicles and Smith.
The crash blocked southbound traffic on the highway for nearly two hours.
