Saturday is going to be a busy day in the Henryetta and Dewar areas.
movieThe day is going to start with the annual Dewar Harvest Festival. It will be held in front of City Hall with rides, games, live music, contests and vendors booths.
In henryetta, October 1 is going to be celebrated with a sidewalk sale, entertainment and even a free movie in the evening.
According to organizer Melissa Heminover, the sales downtown will start at 3 p.m. and will include a number of stores staying open later than normal.
Local musician Jeremiah Barrick will be performing at the Cowboy Pocket Park during the sidewalk sale. Chris Blevins will be performing later that evening until dusk.
A free outdoor movie will be held in the park just south of the Henryetta civic center starting at dark. Heminover said the movie, “Hocus Pocus,” is something the entire family can enjoy. “We want to make this a great way to start off the fall season,” she said.
Popcorn will be served by the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce.
