Henryetta welcomed a new citizen this week. Harley Renee Jacobs was born at the Henryetta Medical Center New Year's Day making her the first baby born in 2014 and, as a double honor, the first baby born at the hospital in several years. Arriving at 9:20 a.m., the seven pound, two ounce first citizen of 2014 was welcomed by mother Renee Pisar and father Jared Jacobs. As an interesting twist, her grandmother, Carrie Crayk, was also on hand in a professional position as a nurse in the delivery room. Mother and new daughter were transferred to Hillcrest South hospital in Tulsa to spend a couple of days and are expected to be coming home this weekend. She was not sent away before her proud sister, Raiden Lynn, 17 months old, had a chance to get acquainted. Maternal grandparents are Brian and Rebecca Piser. Paternal grandparents are Paul and Carrie Crayk and Glen and Jennifer Jacobs. |
