Henryetta has a pair of Trash Terminators.
Emily Smith and Rilie Corn were the top winners in the annual Oklahoma Trash Poster contest held by the Department of Transportation.
Smith was the first place winner in the six through eighth grade contest while Corn was second place in the third through fifth grade.
This is the 24th year for the contest with some 14,000 students entering around the state.
From the initial top winners, 13 will be selected for a cash award in each grade category. State winners will also receive a t-shirt with their design on it and a mounted poster board copy and laminated placemat of their poster. Teachers of the 13 state winners receive vouchers for a two-night stay at an Oklahoma State Park and checks for classroom school art supplies in the amounts of $100 for first place and for “Promotional Poster of the Year", $75 for second place, and $50 for third place.
The state winners will be announced in April at a luncheon in Oklahoma City.
