Ghosts, goblins, witches, super heroes and so much more will be roaming downtown Monday afternoon.
The annual Main Street Halloween Trick or Treat is going to start at 3:30 Oct. 31 and run through 5 p.m.
IMG 5073Sponsored by the Henryetta chamber of commerce and some 30 merchants and businesses, the annual event allows youngsters to show off their Halloween finest and load up on goodies before hitting the homes that evening.
“In answer to a lot of questions, Monday is going to be the official trick or treat day in Henryetta,” said police chief Steve Norman. “We are urging everyone to have fun but also be careful both during the afternoon downtown and when going through the neighborhoods.”
Norman said children should be going from door to door in their neighborhoods where they know the people at those homes.
“If they are walking in the streets,” the children need to be wearing brightly colored costumes or have reflective tape on them.”
The First Church of the Nazarene will be holding a Trunk or Treat that same afternoon. Set at the church parking lot, it will start at 5 p.m.
