The Henryetta Lions Club will be providing Christmas baskets to eligible area residents again this year.
Applications are going to be taken at the Henryetta Civic Center at Fourth and Broadway Nov. 14 and 15. Anyone applying should be at the civic center from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. each day.
Anyone applying must bring a current utility bill to show proof of residency.
The program supplies baskets of food as well as toys for some 300 families in the Henryetta area. It has been handled by the Henryetta Lions Club for nearly 70 years since it’s inception by Ernest Smith and several local businessmen.
