Henryetta students will be the beneficiaries with just over $8,000 in grants going to teachers this month.
The funds come from the Henryetta Education Foundation and are part of an annual program designed to help teachers with special projects in their classrooms.
burtonThis year’s recipients included:
Vicky Tiger for Accelerated Math made More, Denae Green, Rockets Over, Carrie Jenson, Hot Dots, Ashley Burton with Science Rocks, Ashley Corn for Hot Dots Make Hot Shots, Ginny Holder, for Self-Regulating Senory Seats, Laura Hood for Safe Seating, Connie Adams Brooks for Center Time, Nadine Graham, Middle School Physical Education, Debra Wion for Reading Detectives and Christie Wells and Felicia Mcgowan for Creative STEM Projects.
“We know teachers need all the help they can get in the classrooms and these grants provide them with some more tools to educate our youth,” said Foundation president James McCullough.
The teachers received the announcements of the grants with a special visit by Foundation members to their classrooms earlier this week.
