An attempted U-turn on the Indian Nation Turnpike just south of Henryetta resulted in a two-vehicle crash that injured three people Friday morning.
According to the OHP, the crash happened when a 2016 Subaru Forester driven by William. McKee, 57, Cashiers, North Carolina, was apparently trying to make a U-turn from the southbound shoulder of the highway.
That’s when a 2004 Toyota driven by Easton D. Ramsey, 23, Edmond, was unable to stop in time and struck the Cashiers’ vehicle.
The impact pinned McKee in the Subaru until Henryetta firemen could free him. He was Life-flighted to St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa for treatment of internal injuries. Two passengers in the vehicle, Rebecca McKee, 53, and Rebecca K. McKee, 26, were both taken to Hillcrest Henryetta Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured but a passenger in that vehicle, Violet Gann, 22, Yukon, was treated and released from Hillcrest Henryetta with minor injuries.
