Bobby J. Martin, a lifelong resident of Hanna, died Dec. 5, 2016 at his home in Hanna at the age of 69. Bobby was born April 14, 1947 in Hanna to C.B. Martin and Mabel Lundy Martin.
He grew up in California and in Hanna, where he attended school in Hanna Public Schools. Bobby served in the US Army and was honorably discharged after several years of faithful service. After his military service, Bobby was a truck driver for approximately 18 years, working out of Tulsa. He later worked for approximately 6-7 years with Dow Chemical Company before retiring. Bobby was a longtime member of the American Legion. He was a valuable and longtime member of the Hanna Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Hanna. Bobby has spent countless hours in assisting many families as the sexton of Hanna Cemetery. Bobby is preceded in death by his mother and father; and by three brothers, Rex Roland, Charles Martin, and Gene Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Trina Martin of the home in Hanna; three daughters: Michelle Tate and husband BJ of Iowa, Rori Lukes of McAlester, and Kassie Martin of Hanna; son, Cole Martin and wife Sylvia of Texas; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; five sisters: Brenda Mulliniks and husband Gerald of Henryetta, Mary Cummisky and husband Glen of Eufaula, Janet Bradford of Checotah, Debbie McCullar and husband Jack of Oktaha, and Louise Young of Texas; brother, Bill Ransom of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many good friends.
Following cremation, a memorial service honoring Bobby's life will be held December 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Hanna Cemetery pavillion.  There will be a lunch at the First Apostolic Church in Hanna Saturday, December 17, 2016 at noon.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
