Edna L McCullar, a longtime resident of Hanna, died Dec. 19, 2016 in Checotah at the age of 83. She was born Dec. 31, 1932 in Stanley, Okla., to Goldie Houseworth and Ora (Farmer) Houseworth. Edna worked for the Ammunition Depot for several years, also at the sewing factory in Eufaula and later at various area grocery stores. She was a member of the Fundamentalist Baptist Church in Eufaula.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Goldie and Ora Houseworth, her first husband Alford Peters, second husband O.J. McCullar, two brothers, Leland Houseworth and Loren Houseworth.
She is survived by three children: Kathy Ford and husband Calvin of Meeker, Tommy Peters and wife Robena of Wetumka and Ed Peters and wife Vickie of Eufaula; three stepsons: Jackie Dale McCullar and wife Debbie of Oktaha, James Dwight McCullar of Norman and Jessie David (Skip) McCullar and wife Carolyn of Henryetta; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren; two brothers: Lenvil Houseworth of Eugene, Ore., and Norman K. Houseworth of Portland, Ore. as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Greg Ford, Jon Ford, Matthew Peters, Jason Peters, Gage Askew and Dillon Peters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Integrity Chapel with Chaplain Tony Hodgson officiating. Interment will follow in Lenna Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service'.
